Educational Resources
Learning how to use credit responsibly and establishing a good credit history is a key factor for success in adult life. Unfortunately, Credit Building 101 isn't a class typically offered to most high school teens.
That's why we've partnered with Boulder High to establish a safe, positive educational tool in the form of the Educational Student Credit Card that not only teaches young adults the value of credit, but the skills to use it wisely.
Online Credit Responsibility Class
This is the class you must take if your parent/guardian elected that you complete an online credit responsibility class before receiving your Student Credit Card. The following is a fun, quirky online class and quiz made by teens for teens through FoolProof Education. Even if you aren't applying for the Student Credit Card, this is a great class to learn more about how to use credit responsibly.
In order to receive credit for completing the class, you must do the following:
- Register for the program via Foolproof by clicking: Registration
- Once registered, click on this link --> Online Credit Responsibility to begin the class. You may be asked to enter the username and password you setup when registering.
- You will complete the module listed as "Module 5 - Sucker Punch?" The class/quiz will take about 30 minutes. The quiz is given throughout the presentation, so you must answer questions as you go through the videos and credit education
- Once you have completed the class, the program will ask you specifically if you would like to email the results to anyone. At this point, YOU MUST:
(1) Enter YOUR Full Name in the Name Field, and
(2) Enter the email address to email your test results to: panthers@bvcu.org
By doing the steps above you will get credit for taking the class and be approved for your Student Credit Card.
